How Does the Green Fund Work?

Apply

However you understand sustainability or conservation, we invite you to apply for Green Fund funding.

 Funding Meeting

After you have submitted the funding application, someone will reach out to you to come to our weekly meeting and present/discuss your project idea. During this meeting you will receive a "contact person," who is one of the Green Fund members. They will be the one to email if you have any questions following the meeting and the person who will email you with our decision.

Decision

After the meeting and usually within the evening, your contact person will get back to you about our decision via email. If you are awarded funding, please reference the next step.

Meet with Jen

Once you have received an email confirming your awarded funding, please schedule a time to meet with Wesleyan's Sustainability Director, Jen Kleindienst so she can help: purchase anything needed for your project, reimburse funding, help with contracts or W-9 forms. Her office is located in North College on the 4th floor. Her email is jkleindienst@wesleyan.edu

 Report Back

Once your project is complete, please fill out the post-project evaluation form on our website and tell us how your project went! You or your student group can only apply for funding again once you've completed the Post-Project Evaluation Form for your previous project.
