There is no single "right way" to be an Environmentalist.

We connect to the earth as dancers, farmers, athletes, scientists, food and social justice advocates, and in many other aspects of our day-to-day lives.

We invite you to apply for funding from the Wesleyan Green Fund!

How Does the Green Fund Work?

Apply

However you understand sustainability or conservation, we invite you to apply for Green Fund Funding: https://forms.gle/owaUqTnBiCXkQXoH8.

 Interview

After you have submitted your application, we will reach out to you to schedule an interview during our weekly meetings. During the interview, you will have the opportunity to discuss your project idea with us and go over funding details. After this meeting, you will be assigned a contact person from the committee who will work directly with you on your project. The contact person will answer any follow-up questions and inform you of funding updates.

Decision

After the meeting and usually within 24 hours, your contact person will get back to you about our decision via email.

Meet with Sustainability Director

If you receive an email confirming that you have been awarded funding, please schedule a time to meet with Wesleyan's Sustainability Director, Jen Kleindienst, so she can help you purchase anything needed for your project, reimburse funding, or assist with contracts or W-9 forms. Her office is located in the College of the Environment at 284 High Street, Room 104. Her email is jkleindienst@wesleyan.edu.

 Report Back

Once your project is complete, report back to your assigned Green Fund contact person to fill out our post-project evaluation form! You or your student group can only apply for funding again once you've completed the Post-Project Evaluation Form for your previous project.
